Harvest Interns is more than your standard Gap Year Program. It is a highly intentional, full time program that is centered around personal development, spiritual growth and leadership. It is a year where young people (ages 17-23) are able to take the opportunity to build foundations that will help guide and direct them for the rest of their lives - both practically and spiritually.

MORE ABOUT THE INTERN EXPERIENCE
The students will get a chance to attend Harvest College - a bible college that operates out of Kloof Harvest every Tuesday and Wednesday. Here they will be exposed to practical theology relevant to the world that we live in and help form a solid foundation in the Word of God.
One of the aims of the intern program is to expose the students to all different forms of ministries, Life skills and also marketplace opportunities. This is done through their involvement in the various different initiatives run out of Harvest, sessions with a qualified Life Coach, various relationship courses and experience in the workplace facilitated by different businessmen in the church.
All the students will partake in various leadership roles throughout the year, be exposed to team building exercises as well as attending the Global Leadership Summit where they get the chance to learn from various Leadership experts from around the world.
Another BIG part of the year is our mission work that takes place during the holiday season. There will be 3 trips during the year that will make up approximately 2 months of the program. Destinations include Mozambique, Lesotho and the recently incorporated Zambia.

An exciting new addition to our program, the academy is made up of 3 streams:
Trulife (trulife.org.za), a non-profit organization that works into schools around the city using high-quality productions and 4 week curriculi written to line up with the Life Orientation Sylabus.
Ingane Yami (inganeyami.com), a children’s village based in the Shongweni valley that rescues orphaned and abandoned babies and raises them in a loving family environment.
Media Internship, a time where students with existing interest in the fields of photography, videography, graphic design and music production will get a chance to have their skills honed and applied in a real-world environment.
